Megan serves on ASFoundation's Board of Directors. She is an attorney, a child safety advocate, and the founder and chair of the Blessed Mother Family Foundation. After the heartbreaking loss of her 14-year-old son, Sewell Setzer III, following an intense relationship with an AI companion chatbot, Megan transformed her grief into her now-mission to protect other children and families, bringing national and international attention to the importance of awareness, accountability, and safeguards for AI, as well as the profound questions AI raises about child safety, human connection, and human dignity.
