Julia Silvers

Julia Silvers leads ASF's research and flagship Jewish Online Safety, Health, and Unity Alliance (JOSHUA), the umbrella under which it organizes its work on AI-enabled antisemitism, AI-enabled disinformation, and other forms of AI misalignment and manipulation. She recently published a report examining antisemitism in large language models (LLMs), exposing that foreign entities are employing novel tactics to manipulate narratives and influence opinions through AI systems. Prior to ASF, she worked as the lead researcher and subject matter expert on Iran (including Iran’s nuclear program), Lebanon, Hezbollah, Yemen, and the Houthis at the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC). She earned her BA in International Affairs and minors in Middle Eastern Studies and Legal Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
