Senior Advisor on Moral Compass

As a Senior Advisor to ASF's flagship "Moral Compass" initiative, John Paul manages ASF's relationship with the Vatican, teaches ASF's AI trainings for faith leaders, and advises ASF's "faith and ethics" LLM benchmarking and evaluation project. He is an Associate Professor of the Practice at Notre Dame Law School and the Raymond of Peñafort Fellow in Canon Law at the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture. Previously, for 11 years, he served as a canon lawyer at the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. He was ordained as a priest of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles. He completed his first course of studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University.
