Rev. Dr. Marian Edmonds-Allen
Senior Advisor on Moral Compass

Rev. Dr. Marian Edmonds-Allen is a techno-theologian whose work focuses on ethics, moral reasoning, human dignity, and human flourishing at the intersection of technology, faith, and public life. As Senior Advisor on ASF's flagship Moral Compass initiative, she offers guidance on the human implications of AI. Beyond ASF, she serves as Co-Director of the AI Initiative at the Neurospirituality Lab at Harvard Medical School, in which capacity she focuses on human–AI interaction and moral cognition. She cofounded SoulSignal, an AI-and-biometrics initiative to advance human-centered spiritual technology, and founded FaithWise.AI, a platform to equip faith communities to navigate AI with clarity, ethical grounding, and wisdom. She serves as a Steering Committee Member for the Faith Family Technology Network and a Fellow with the Faith and Media Initiative. She is the author of Covenantal Pluralism, Religious Freedom, and Mission, as well as a frequent speaker and contributor on ethics, religious freedom, pluralism, and technology’s impacts on society. Her writing and teaching emphasize moral clarity, covenantal responsibility, and the cultivation of wisdom in complex environments. She has more than two decades of experience in ministry, chaplaincy, and leadership of national and international organizations. She received her theological training at Western Theological Seminary and Eden Theological Seminary.
