Senior Advisor on Moral Compass

Marian is a "techno-theologian" whose focuses on technology's implications for ethics, moral reasoning, human dignity, and human flourishing. As a Senior Advisor on ASF's flagship Moral Compass initiative, she leads ASF's AI trainings for faith leaders and helps manage ASF's AI ethics coalition. Beyond ASF, she serves as Co-Director of the AI Initiative at the Neurospirituality Lab at Harvard Medical School, a Steering Committee Member for the Faith Family Technology Network, and a Fellow with the Faith and Media Initiative. She founded FaithWise.AI, a platform to equip faith communities to navigate AI, and cofounded SoulSignal, an AI-and-biometrics initiative that seeks to be human-centered. She is the author of Covenantal Pluralism, Religious Freedom, and Mission, as well as a frequent speaker and contributor on ethics, religious freedom, pluralism, and technology’s impacts on society. Her writing and teaching emphasize moral clarity, covenantal responsibility, and the cultivation of wisdom in complex environments. She received her theological training at Western Theological Seminary and Eden Theological Seminary.
